Dear Alex and Hagop,
I can’t begin to express my deepest gratitude to both of you for all your time and patience in providing the most beautiful diamond ring either of us have seen. As you know our process had been a trying one. Finding our stones seemed easy, purchase on line and receive exactly what we want. Each of us had gone to separate jewelers for the setting. The one I purchased from the previous jeweler began as sitting down to design from a picture I had seen, the ring he provided me was so far from what I had asked for that it was extremely discouraging.
We started over, one jeweler at a time and no one seemed to have what we were searching for, and those that were willing to design something did not seem to have the same patience and individual attention to each customer, it was strictly business. I always believed that an engagement ring was one of the most important pieces of jewelry to give, it should have thought put into it, as well as emotion. After searching so many chain establishments my frustration grew and grew. We had almost given up when we walked down the last hall of the jewelers building, figured, ok, one last shot. It was a Saturday evening at 4:50PM, we had no expectations what so ever except for to rule another store off our list. The irony of that feeling now.
We walked in, briefly viewed the cased rings, and then explained our story and what we were looking for. Over the process we had experienced so many different explanations and opinions that it was easy to see the genuine nature of both of you. We were able to show you a small picture that after being blown up was quite pixilated yet Alex was able to work her magic. The time and effort put into our experience at that point alone was amazing. You were both so patient with us as you began the process on the computer to show us possibilities. Being able to see the examples of previous projects only restored our faith in what was once our one last chance for the night. We sat with you both for at least an hour going through the possibilities and the specifications. You were able to explain what was and what was not feasible, what would look better and what wouldn’t, without ever sounding condescending or patronizing. We left feeling as though we had just sat down with friends to discuss designs. As the process continued we were kept up to date with images and the current status of the project, something we weren’t experiencing elsewhere. We felt comfortable about questioning certain aspects of the design for minor tweaks and changes, and never received negative responses. We felt the possibilities were endless and that you both had emotional investment in the outcome, just as we did. Being able to see the mold before it was cast in metal was an amazing experience, it was watching the stages, and providing me comfort that after all of our bad experiences elsewhere we had finally found the right place. I can remember the day Alex showed me the ring just as it had been cast in the metal, and as she referred to it the “ugly baby” that once polished would be the beautiful ring we had been waiting for, I was ready to cry, it was exactly what I had been waiting for. The day it was done was a scary one for me, I opened it and wanted to cry it was so beautiful, so elegant, I didn’t dare touch it. I carried it home that night and never let it out of my site. I showed everyone I work with, all my friends and finally gave it to her. I held it a secret for four days, and couldn’t wait any longer. When she finally received it she cried, she was amazed at how beautiful it turned out and was proud to show everyone. Now, whenever I look at her finger I am reminded of how wonderful some people can be, and how much more pleasant it can be to work with a family owned business as opposed to chains.

Also, let me take some time to try to express how grateful we are for the amazing work you did on the ring. It is hard to convey how very pleased we are with the way the restoration turned out. The ring is truly exquisite. To say you brought the ring back to its original glory would be an understatement. You have given us an heirloom our family can cherish and be proud of.
There wont be a day that passes that my wife and I wont appreciate and admire your craftsmanship. Knowing what state the ring was in before you worked on it only makes me more impressed on the work you did to restore it. I've spent quite a bit of time admiring it and the more I look at it, the better it gets. Before the restoration I didn't even like to look at the ring. When I brought it home last night, I had trouble putting it down. You have far surpassed our expectations and we couldn't be happier. Great work !

It's BEAUTIFUL!!! The diamond looks so great in the ring it's hard to tell where the diamond ends and the ring begins; it's just one big sparkle! It really is stunning. Mike loves it too (well, really as long as I'm happy, he's happy...) It fits perfectly. The part I didn't see in the pictures is the beautiful filagree work beneath the mounting. I was hoping it would have that but didn't know for sure; I really love it. I have to admit, when it was delivered to work I couldn't help but open it right away! (Mike had wanted to see it at the same time is me, but admitted he knew I wouldn't be able to wait until I got home.) Of course the girls in the office all had to take a look and commented on how beautiful it is and how it looks like a family heirloom. That's exactly the look I wanted; I'm really so pleased!!
I know I've thanked you a hundred times for all of your help, but I truly mean it. With the service we received, it felt like you were right down the street, not across the country. The whole experience couldn't have turned out better if we tried. I look forward to purchasing my bands now (once I finally make up my mind!)

Dear Alex and Hagop.
Just wanted to tell you how happy I am with my extraordinarily gorgeous and unique ring. As you know, this was my first custom-designed piece of jewelry and my inexperience made me insecure about my choices. Alex, you did an amazing job implementing my ideas and finding ways to make them work. Your computer design program gave me great images of my design before making it. Your ability to understand my design sensibilities and make them work was amazing and the quality of the craftsmanship outstanding.I would like to share with your customers, and potential customers, my story. I never dreamed I would be able to have a custom designed piece that it sooo ME. I had been shopping for settings for my diamond and just not connecting with anything I found. I am not a girly-girl and most diamond rings I found just looked like I was wearing someone else's jewelry. After seeing a ring that Alex designed, that was nothing like an engagement ring, I couldn't get it out of my head. It gave me an idea of what I would want. I tried to find something like it that would work with my diamond but I was always unimpressed with everything else I found. So, I returned to Bostonian and got a quote to have a ring made based on the ring I had seen but modified. I had my heart set on platinum and I didn't think we could justify buying the custom piece, especially one so heavy. Hagop suggested that I could spend less by buying something that didn't need to be designed and customized. So, I went on a hunt for one like it, I flipped through countless jewelry portfolios and found other rings I could like but not love. What I learned was that what I could save by buying a piece that was already designed instead of having Bostonian Jewelers make MY ring, was not worth the savings. This ring will serve as both an engagement ring and a wedding band and I will be wearing it for the rest of my life. Wearing a ring that I settled for to save a few hundred bucks didn't seem like the right symbol of our love or way to start our future together. I am so grateful to you both for your guidance, patience and superb work. I will definitely be back for more and will never stop singing your praises.
